| Personal History | Jacqueline Wallace was born in 2335 to Alice and Monty Wallace. She was the older of two children, with her sister Catherine being born in 2338. She fell into the pretty classic “oldest child” role who was quiet and responsible, took things seriously and helped with her slightly more rebellious sister. A bright but far from brilliant student in school, she did find some passion in music and wanted to learn to play the piano. It was during a theater class that she met David Shaw, an equally introverted student a year ahead of her in school. He was the writer for the play the class was putting on while she was part of the small orchestra. They fell in love and married after they graduated. Unfortunately, their happiness was short-lived. David was killed in a freak accident barely three years after they were married, and Jacky was a widow shy of her twenty-first birthday. She spent a year in mourning before she decided that she had to do something with her life. She chose Starfleet and entered the academy as part of the general entrance class. It didn’t take long for her to choose counseling as her specialization, and she graduated in 2361. She served on various posts until 2372, when she decided that she wanted to expand her career and applied to Officer Candidate School. Accepted into the program, she returned to Earth and proceeded through the course. She graduated…just in time for the outbreak of the Dominion War. Her first assignment of the war was as the second officer of the USS Cairo, which was part of the Seventh Fleet. Although the ship was one of the few to survive the offensives in the Tyra System, the ship’s first officer was killed. Jacky was promoted to the position of executive officer, which she held until the end of the war. Now, several months later, she has been assigned to the USS Alliance. |
